Johan Marjonid who is also fondly known as JohMar is one of the Malaysia’s most established artists known for his realist style rainforest paintings. Born in Ayer Baloi, Pontian in Johor, he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MARA Institute of Technology, Shah Alam in 1992. As a full-time artist, Johan Marjonid has perfected the art of realism – inviting his viewers to immerse in his paintings that evoke feelings of tranquillity and the eeriness of solitude deep in the jungle through his medium to large-scale paintings.
