(b. Kedah, 1936 – d. Kuala Lumpur, 2009)
Datuk Ibrahim Hussein was educated at the Nanyang Academy of Art in Singapore (1956), Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Printing, London, the U.K (1959-1963) and the Royal Academy Schools, London, the U.K (1963-1966). An internationally acclaimed artist, his artworks have been displayed all over the world and he has received many awards during his lifetime namely the Japan Foundation Cultural Award (1988), the World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award (1997) and the Anugerah Tokoh Melayu Terbilang (2007).
